Open Anchor

The Anchor Youth Building is open almost every single Tuesday and Thursday night (except on holidays) throughout the year for students to drop in and hang out!  There is no cost (it's completely free), and any students who want to attend, who are currently in middle or high school, are welcome to join us!

The gym is open for various gym activities like basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, wiffle ball, etc.  There is always a free meal to enjoy, like tacos, spaghetti, nuggets, or other home cooked meals.  The game tables and video games will be up and running, and it's a great place to meet all of your friends after school.  The doors open at 3:00, and we close at 8:00, but students can arrive and depart anytime within that time frame.

So, students... If you're looking to get out of the house, and a great place to meet up with your friends... The Anchor is THAT place!

So, parents... If you're looking for something for your kids to do during those long winter months (and beyond) that is free, and provides a positive and supervised place for your students to be... The Anchor is THAT place!

Come check it out and see for yourself if it's a good fit for you and your friends!  You've got nothing to lose.  It's free

Monday Morning Men's Group

Monday Morning Men's Group

Join us at Russ' Northside on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month for a gathering of men. Each gathering will be focused on two Catechism Question and Answers from The Gospel Way Catechism, starting the conversation with the question: "What did you underline from this week's readings?" all while enjoying breakfast together. Celebration Campus Pastor Bill Lindner will facilitate.

The Gospel Way Catechism

In a world flooded with competing visions of meaning and purpose, now more than ever, we need to return to the gospel as the ultimate lens through which we understand life.

For centuries, Christians have passed down the faith through a time-tested tool: the catechism—clear, question-and-answer summaries that ground believers in biblical truth. The Gospel Way Catechism revives this historic practice for the modern era, offering 50 essential Christian beliefs in a simple, accessible format.

But this isn’t just about learning doctrines. Each answer not only teaches foundational truths but also equips you to recognize and resist the dominant cultural narratives shaping our secular age. As you are formed by gospel truth, you are also counter-formed—trained to spot the flaws in self-centered worldviews and respond with the life-giving story of Jesus.

This week at Fusion:
Songs for the Road: Happiness
Psalm 128

This Sunday we continue our summer sermon series titled "Songs for the Road," which is a 15-week journey through the Psalms of Ascents (Psalms 120-134).  These were the songs the people of God recited while making their way up to the city of Jerusalem for the annual pilgrim festivals, and they continue to give voice to the pilgrim journey of Christ followers today.  This week we will consider the "feel good" words of Psalm 128 that name the blessing and prosperity of God.  How have these words been misunderstood? And how might we better understand them in light of the gospel of Jesus?

Psalm 128
This week's "Songs for the Road" message turns to Psalm 128 and asks what triumph actually means when the work never stops. The psalm doesn't picture blessing as a dramatic breakthrough, it pictures ordinary, repeated provision, a meal, a marriage, children around a table, as the gift itself, continually given rather than a wage finally earned.

Psalm 127

Which path will you choose at this life-altering fork in the road? The answer depends on your destination, because the destination always dictates the journey. If you get the destination wrong, you will waste years on a path you hate, only to end up in a place you don't belong. This week at Watershed:
Songs for the Road: Work
Psalm 127

This week in our "Songs for the Road" series, we turn to Psalm 127 and a question many of us carry quietly: if I stop striving so hard, will everything I'm building fall apart? Solomon, the man who built Jerusalem's Temple, writes a surprising warning to the builder: unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. But the psalm's real turn isn't a call to work less; it's an invitation to notice who you've secretly decided is holding everything up. Join us as we ask what it means to plan, work, and build as the beloved, not to earn rest, but because it was never ours to hold alone.

Grief Share

GriefShare is a welcoming and caring group that comes alongside those who are grieving. In this 12-week class, participants learn from video experts and personal testimonies, share with one another in small groups, and reflect on God’s promises through Scripture and a guided workbook. Together, we seek to grow forward through grief toward healing and hope. If you know someone who could benefit from this support, please consider inviting them to join us. You don’t have to walk through grief alone.
A light brunch will be provided. Cost is $20 for the workbook.

Young Adults Ignite

Graduating from high school is a big transition, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Ignite is a community for young adults who are looking for meaningful connections, authentic conversations, and a place to grow in their faith.

Whether you have big questions about life, are exploring what it means to follow Jesus, or simply want to connect with others in the same stage of life, Ignite is a place where you belong. Together, we’ll discover God’s Word, encourage one another, and learn how to live with purpose and make a difference in the world.

No matter where you are on your journey, we’d love for you to join us as we step into this exciting new chapter together.

We meet at the Hoort’s house on Sunday evenings, contact Sami Zwiers (samzwiers@harderwyk.com) of Maddi Stegenga (maddistegenga@harderwyk.com) for details.
