Facing Fear
John 20:19-23

This week, we continue our sermon series titled, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God." This morning, we turn our attention to John 20:19-23 when the disciples, overcome by fear, have locked themselves in the upper room on Easter Sunday evening.  We will use the disciples’ experience and encounter with the risen Jesus to explore the power of fear, how Jesus enters into our fear, and what this means as we consider how to face our fears today.  Join us this Sunday.

Celebration Afterthought

Join Pastor Bill in the Room 21 of the Lower Level for a sermon discussion each Sunday following the Celebration service.

Any question is fair game, but growing out of this Sermon we can start with:

Can you identify particular circumstances that strike fear into your heart?

Do you have a "go to" pattern for facing those fears?

What would it mean for the Gospel to change your heart - but not your current circumstances?

Ponder the difference between these two responses to painful circumstances: God has abandoned me. And I do not understand why or what God is doing in this circumstance.

Changes Everything
1 Corinthians 15: 1-11

Join us this Resurrection Sunday as we remember and celebrate with joy and wonder the reality that Christ is risen from the dead.  Our message will be anchored in the powerful words of the Apostle Paul who writes to the church in Corinth about the life changing significance of the resurrection.  This is the gospel - the good news that testifies of God's love for you and me.  We will take time to remember this good news and then be invited to believe this good news that absolutely changes everything.

Our Easter service is for all ages but we do have nursery and preschool Sunday School classes. Our Elementary Sunday School classes are taking a break for Easter Sunday. Pick up an Easter themed activity binder near the entrances to all worship spaces.
