Holland Symphony Orchestra Piano Trio Concert

HSO Piano Trio (Amanda Dykhouse, violin; Lee Copenhaver, cello; Allison Keep, piano)

  • Beethoven Piano Trio in D Major, Op. 70, No. 1, “Ghost”

  • Faure Piano Trio in D minor, Op. 120

Join violinist Amanda Dykhouse, cellist Lee Copenhaver, and pianist Allison Shinnick Keep in a concert presenting two masterpieces for piano trio.  Beethoven’s well-known “Ghost” trio opens and closes with energetically joyful movements surrounding a hauntingly beautiful slow movement.  Fauré’s elegant trio is full of warm melodies, rich harmonies, and virtuosic piano writing.

While these concerts are free to attend, the cost to produce them is not free. Please consider donating to support these free concerts. You may donate at the event to HSO and Harderwyk, online by clicking here, or mail a check to Holland Symphony Orchestra, PO Box 2685, Holland, MI 49422

Harderwyk Get-Togethers Movie & Presentation

On December 9th, the Great Room will be turned into the Harderwyk Movie Theater.  It will be complete with fresh popcorn, soda, water and candy boxes.  We will also be serving coffee for those who did not get their morning fill.

This special movie event will be centered around the movie with the famous line "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!".   The movie "A Christmas Story" is now the most popular film in America, with 50 million viewers annually on cable and TV alone and 9 million copies sold on DVDs.

We will watch A Christmas Story together starting at 11 am (please arrive at 10:45am) and then be joined by Quentin Schultze who learned from the movie screenwriter (when they taught at Calvin together) how this movie includes a series of parables.

Please bring your own chair if it is more comfortable than the chairs we have in the great room.
