Sometimes we need the wisdom of others to help us know, not just what to do, but also what not to do. After offering Timothy encouragement, Paul now moves on to pointing out pitfalls that were prevalent in the community and how Timothy could navigate those. Thankfully, Paul’s wisdom is as meaningful today as it was then.
