In this first week of Advent, we are reminded that hope is a key theme of the Christian faith and that our hope is securely placed in Jesus, the One who has come and is coming again.  This, however, does not mean that sin and its effects have no impact on our lives.  In fact, they often leave us longing for more hope and more comfort as we wait for the world to be set right, finally and fully.
