Mark 7:1-23

This Sunday, we continue our series titled, "Who's this Guy?" where we will be working our way chapter by chapter through the Gospel of Mark.  Each week, we will explore Mark's portrayal of Jesus as the Messiah King. This week, we consider Mark 7, where Jesus has another clash with the Pharisees and teachers of the law.  Jesus shifts the conversation from ritual impurity to the issue of the human heart.  We will explore how these Old Testament purity laws and traditions overlap with our modern world in order to remember that our only hope for our impure hearts is Jesus himself.   Join us as we continue to explore Mark's gospel.
