Budgets Plus Mentor
	Responsibilities:	Assisting individuals and families in setting up and managing their personal budget. The ministry begins with a 4 week class which teaches the techniques of budgeting and follows up with 6 months of budget counseling.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	7 month commitment; 4-6 hours per month

Individual Development Account (IDA) Coach
	Responsibilities:	Individual would offer encouragement and advise in the areas of financial management.

Computer Classes Instructor
	Responsibilities:	Assist participants in developing proficiency using the basic features of the given software and learn how to apply the software to their personal needs.

Building Your Own Business Guest Speaker
	Responsibilities:	Individual would present professional advice on accounting, banking, insurance, legal set-up, marketing, and taxes; or small business owner would present his/her “story” on owning a small business.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	1 evening
	Gifts and Passions valuable for this ministry:	Experience in starting up and/or owning a small business. Business professionals who offer a service to small business owner.

Kids Hope USA Mentor
	Responsibilities:	Commit to meet with an elementary-age child at Lakeshore Elementary. Work on specific academic objectives set up by the teacher. Love, encourage, and listen to a child. Be reliable and committed, maintain a confidential relationship with a child and maintain strong communications between the assigned prayer partner, Kids Hope Director, and school personnel.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	1 hour per week for a school year; Attend 3 after school parties and monthly prayer gatherings November through May
	Gifts and Passions valuable for this ministry:	Must love children and be sensitive to their needs. Have own transportation and able to read. Must be prayer focused and 16 years or older. Must be a Harderwyk member.

Kids Hope After School Recess (ASR) Leader
	Responsibilities:	Assist kids with homework, crafts, games, and sports. Assist the Kids Hope Director as needed.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	2 hours per week (Wednesday 4-6pm); November through April
	Gifts and Passions valuable for this ministry:	Must love elementary age kids and just hanging out with them. Strong disciplinary skills, outreach minded—warm and welcoming.

Kids Hope After School Recess (ASR) Snack Coordinator
	Responsibilities:	Coordinate weekly snack schedule. Recruit volunteers to provide the snacks. Replenish Kids Hope food supplies as needed. Assist Kids Hope Director as needed.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	20 hours total; November through April

Kids Hope After School Transportation
	Responsibilities:	Commit to transporting After School Recess kids, via Harderwyk bus, from Lakeshore Elementary. Possible availability for occasional off-campus After School Recess trips.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	Every Wednesday, beginning mid-November through April, 3:30 - 4:15pm

Kids Hope Prayer Coordinator
	Responsibilities:	Develop a Prayer Partner Network. Create ways to keep mentors and prayer partners linked. Identify methods of communication to the Communications Coordinator and Kids Hope Director to keep the worshipping communities informed about the vital Kids Hope Prayer Partner role.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	2 hours per week
	Gifts and Passions valuable for this ministry:	Creative and good communicator. Must be a prayer warrior who believes that prayer changes things. Proficient with e-mail.

Kids Hope After School Recess (ASR) Craft and Special Activities Planner
	Responsibilities:	Plan, coordinate and implement periodic crafts/ activities to do with After School Recess kids, at the Anchor. Possibly assist Kids Hope Director with “special” off-campus outings/ activities for the After School Recess kids.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	Wednesdays, 4 - 6pm

Kids Hope Prayer Partner
	Responsibilities:	Commitment to faithfully pray for a Kids Hope Mentor and the child they are assigned. Contact the Kids Hope mentor on a regular basis. Attend periodic prayer gatherings set up by the Prayer Partner Coordinator.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	Daily prayer and once a month prayer gathering; November through May
	Gifts and Passions valuable for this ministry:	Ability to commit time to faithfully pray for a mentor and child. Strong belief that prayer changes things. Acknowledge and respect confidentiality.

Kids Hope Communication Coordinator
	Responsibilities:	Recruit people to assist with publications of newsletters from: Mentors, Prayer Partners, School Personnel, Parent/Child. Gather stories, etc. for updates in bulletin and other forms of church communication. Identify and keep fresh other ways to communicate the vision, message and impact of Kids Hope both at church and at school. Keep mentor school mailboxes current. Send notes/ reminders of encouragement to mentors.

Kids Hope Events Coordinator
	Responsibilities:	Identify/plan possible events/activities/parties, which will begin to involve the child/family in the life of the church. Coordinate and implement 3 school-year events, to be held at school or church, (Christmas, February/March and end of the school year celebration/graduation). Involve Kids Hope family members and prayer partners in these events.

	Responsibilities:	Plan one summer event for mentors and Kids Hope kids. Work together with Neighbors Plus Director with regards to Great Escape Day Camp.

	Responsibilities:	Volunteer board of this 501(C)3 agency makes policies, oversees programming, and manages budget/fundraising.

Senior Care Ministry
	Responsibilities:	Senior care provides friendly visitors for isolated seniors living in their own homes. This is designed to support senior adults as they face the realities of aging through a caring friend who will visit weekly or bi-weekly.
	Estimated Time Commitment:	weekly or bi-weekly 1-2 hours per visit, one year commitment

Understanding and Managing Your Credit Mentor
	Responsibilities:	Individuals would assist participant in spotting credit issues, writing letters and making phone calls to creditors, and making decisions to maintain and improve his/her credit.

	Responsibilities:	The class helps students practice concepts they have learned in the classroom setting and to build friendships with native speakers.

Great Escape Summer Day Camp
	Responsibilities:	This is a 10 week camp for 5-12 year old kids. Volunteers needed to lead a craft, share a hobby or skill, help organize special campus days.
