Lakesiders will begin a new series of Biblical Perspectives for Older Folk on Thursday morning, September 16.  Seniors from all of our worshiping communities are welcome.  Come on the 16th to find out about the interesting topics for this season of Bible study which were suggested by participants last May.

The Benevolence Fund is used to help those in and near to our community during times of financial need and is overseen by our benevolence deacon, John Faber.  The money in this fund has been consistently low over the last several months, and without replenishment, we may have to turn down requests.  Please consider an extra donation to the benevolence fund this month.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Pastor Heidi (pastor of deaconal ministries - heidi@harderwyk.com) or John Faber (benevolence deacon - john@johndfaber.com).

Medical Equipment: Harderwyk has a room FULL of wheelchairs, a power wheelchair, crutches, commodes, shower seats, walkers, and more! Please call the office if you know of anyone that could use any of these items.

Its not too late! If you have not yet registered for the Letters from Dad program scheduled to start on September 18, you still have time. All the paperwork needs to be sent in on Monday. You can still sign up after the services today. Look for sign ups at the Info Centers.

Don't forget to sign up for the Women's Ministries Beth Moore Bible Study by Tuesday!

Discovery-Sunday, September 26 from 2:30-6 pm. Contact Christine (christinemac@harderwyk.com or x319) to sign up if you are interested in becoming a member and learning more about Harderwyk.
Rehearsals for the Celebration Ringers' Bell Choir will be starting on Sunday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the music room. We still have a couple of ringing positions to fill for the fall. If you are interested in ringing this year, contact Jim De Jong (392-7229 or jdsings@charter.net).

Join us on September 19 at 6:00 pm in the worship auditorium for a concert of worship by the Evergreen Chorale under the direction of Harderwyk's own Cal Langejans and Jim De Jong. Over one hundred singers, brass choir and Harderwyk's Celebration Ringers will present the favorite choral works of past and present as we all give praise to God, This will be the first concert at Harderwyk that will feature the totally restored Wick's pipe organ. Invite your neighbors and friends as we lift our voices in praise!

The Wick's pipe organ restoration is nearly complete! Three of the four pipe divisions have been completed and the pedal division is presently "under construction". The organ console is ready and final tuning will be completed very soon. We are approximately one week away from the instrument playing. We still have approximately $10,000 left to raise for the project. Please prayerfully consider if you are able to help out with this final stretch of the fund raising. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

Community Night begins September 15. Information is available at the Info Centers or at www.harderwyk.com
